The IIFA 2024 awards, held in Abu Dhabi on September 28, honored the best of Indian cinema in a star-studded event. Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, won the coveted Best Film award, with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar accepting the accolade on behalf of the team.
In the acting categories, Shah Rukh Khan won Best Actor for his gripping role in Jawan, while Rani Mukerji was awarded Best Actress for her powerful portrayal of a mother fighting for her children in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. The film resonated deeply with audiences for its emotional narrative.
Fans flooded the comments with praise, with one saying, “SRK-Kajol and SRK-Rani are evergreen couples of Indian Cinema.” Another wrote, “SRK and Rani Mukerji need to work together again. Their chemistry is still blazing!” Another fan commented, “The king and the queen. A true gentleman in every way.”
The evening was further enlivened by standout performances, including Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Kriti Sanon. Shahid’s collaboration with Prabhu Deva, alongside Kriti, captivated the audience, and Vicky’s performance of the viral hit Tauba Tauba was a crowd favorite.
Earlier, Rekha expressed her excitement about her performance at the IIFA. She stated, “IIFA holds a special place in my heart, representing not just a celebration of Indian cinema but a vibrant fusion of art, culture, and love on a global stage.
