Indian equity markets, including NSE and BSE, will be closed on Wednesday, October 2, in observance of Gandhi Jayanti. The Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) will also remain closed for both trading sessions. As a result, trading in equity, equity derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing (SLB) segments will be halted for the day.
Regular trading operations will resume on October 3. Apart from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, there are no additional trading holidays scheduled for the month of October.
Mahurat Trading on November 01
There will be a special trading session, the Muhurat trading session, conducted by the exchanges on November 01 to mark the auspicious occasion of Diwali. The session will usher in Samvat 2081, a new Hindu Calendar year.
